Laurel Simmons
An Associate Broker with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, Laurel Simmons has been a Utah resident since 1984. She’s been fortunate to live in diverse locations throughout the state, from places like the Wasatch Front and St. George to all of the areas in between. Whether you’re thinking about selling your home, or buying for the first time, Laurel provides a distinct advantage for her clients with the in-depth knowledge she has acquired of the various local real estate markets and the socio-economic influences that drive them.
Prior to the launch of her real estate career, Laurel obtained a Masters Degree in Education Administration at the University of Utah. She spent twelve years working in local school systems, from elementary to the collegiate level, teaching both high school and college courses. A former college athlete, Laurel coached a Division 1 college softball team, earning coach of the year three times while leading her team to conference championships. The knowledge of Utah’s school districts and their ranking in academics and extra-curricular activities are another plus for her clients who are looking to move from outside the state or from another county, and also explains the sheer pleasure she receives from inspiring and motivating the young people in her life.
Laurel brings this passion to her work as a realtor and strives to handle every interaction and transaction with open and clear communication, treating her clients with respect and integrity. It is not only about providing the highest level of service, but leaving each client with a feeling of being uplifted throughout every step of their real estate experience. This approach is one of the reasons that Laurel is consistently recognized by her peers as a top-producing agent, having been awarded Salt Lake Board of Realtors’ Rookie of the Year among many others. Her clients and colleagues alike express an appreciation for her willingness to make time for anything she commits herself to doing. Laurel strives to create strong legacies. From building her business to developing teams, or helping individuals to achieve their goals, she gives of her time and energy to create a long-lasting, positive impact on her community and neighbors.
Never one to miss out on fun, Laurel makes time for her alma mater’s many sporting events and frequently attends Broadway shows at the Eccles and Hale Center theaters. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Laurel enjoys hiking or taking long bike rides in the gorgeous canyons, and water skiing and boating at Lake Powell. You may also find her at one of the many golf courses in the area, taking in an occasional relaxing round of golf.
